Description
Catholic Priest who was a Bloc Quebecois Party Member of Parliament for Canada representing the riding of Repentigny from 2006-2008. Formerly a priest at St-Joachim de la Plaine Church in La Plaine, Quebec. Supporter of same-sex marriage rights in Canada. Forced to either resign his parliamentary seat or leave the Catholic Church when he publicly supported abortion rights, at which time he resigned his seat in Parliament (2008). Acknowledged his homosexuality to his biographer, though he was not publicly out during his lifetime.
