Description
Paralympic rower and track field member with the United States National Team. Paralympic Bronze medal (2012) in the shotput event. Former member, U.S. Marine Corps. The only person in the world, male or female, to complete four ocean rowing crossings of three oceans and to have rowed a circumnavigation of Great Britain. She is also the only paraplegic to surf in the women’s world championships of longboard surfing in Biarritz, France. Died during a solo crossing across the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii in June 2020. Author of the book 'Rowing Against the Wind' (2013).
