Description
Research Engineer, University of California. Computer software programmer who developed sendmail, delivermail, and co-founded the company Sendmail, Inc., which all deliver messages over the internet using syslog logging format. Recognized as a Distinguished Engineer by the Association for Computing Machinery and was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame (2014). Partner is fellow computer programmer Marshall Kirk McKusick.
