Poet and writer. Author of the collection of poems 'Songs My Enemy Taught Me' (2017) and 'C+NTO & Othered Poems' (2021, Polaris Prize winner). Founder of SLAMbassadors, the UK national youth poetry slam championships, and its Artistic Director until 2018. Spokesperson for the international spoken-word project Borderlines. T.S. Elliot Poetry Prize Winner (2021). U.K. Poetry Slam Champion (2000). Received a Changemaker Award from the Southbank Centre, a Fellowship of the RSA, and her poem Valentine was Highly Commended in the Forward Prize. Commissioning Editor at Out-Spoken Press 2020-2022.
