Description
Short-story writer, essayist, critic and visual artist who frequently explores sexuality and mental health in his work. His debut, 'Fairytales for Lost Children' (2013), won the Polari First Book Prize (2014) for a book that explores the LGBTQ experience, which is often based on his own life as a gay man. Other books include 'We Once Belonged to the Sea' (2018) and 'The Butterfly Jungle' (2022). Paints using 3D textile paint, glow-in-the-dark glue, powder dye and temporary tattoo stickers, among other craft-based materials. Deputy Editor, Scarf Magazine. Named one of the most influential LGBTI people in Britain by 'The Independent on Sunday' (2015).
