Description
Professor of Economics, University of Toronto and Senior Fellow, Massey College. Noted for his nationalist views on policies for the Canadian economy. Co-founder of the Committee for an Independent Canada, which was created as a means to safeguard the cultural and economic autonomy of Canada with an emphasis on policies to restrict foreign investment in Canada. Former vice-chairman of the Canadian Institute for Economic Policy. Auhtor of numerous books and articles, including 'Canada: the New Nationaolism' (1976). Also known as Abe Rotstein.
