The mystery and intrigue of a magical act often goes well with the LGBTQ community as the performance, and performer, often exude an air of sexuality and mysticism. It therefor comes as no surprise that some of the world's top magicians and illusionists are part of the LGBTQ community.

The most recognizable members of this group around the world may be the team of Siegfried and Roy. They combined wild animal acts with magic and performed their Las Vegas act for years until tragedy struck in . Other LGBTQ magicians have won awards such as Magician of the Year, or are featured in international televised performances.

There is good representation of the transgender community in the profession. Coincidentally, each of these magicians hail from Great Britain.

We have identified the following LGBTQ magicians and illusionists from Canada, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, the United States, and Great Britain. Simply click on their names to read their fascinating biographies and view videos of their acts.
