Description
Native American (Penobscot nation) broadcaster and journalist, host of the public radio show 'Wabanaki Windows'. Former member of the armed forces who receiving an honorary Colonel rank in honor of her appointment as his advisor on Women Veterans Affairs. Former Police Chief for the Penobscott nation (1984). Maine State Representative for the Penobscot nation (1997-2008). Wrote and sponsored of the 'Act to Require Teaching Maine Native American History and Culture in Maine’s School' (2001). Playwright and memoirist. Also known as Donna Loring.
