Professor of Physics, Math, and Astrophysics at The Evergreen State College, Washington since 1995. Research interests include renewable energy and sustainability, plasma physics, general atomics, magnetic fusion, magnetic stars and solar dynamo. Commissioner of Port of Olympia since 2015. Chair of Thurston County Agriculture Committee. Co-founded Lesbians In Science (1990).
