Description
Biographical writer of Hollywood celebrities and other luminaries, including Elizabeth Taylor, Tallula Bankhead, and Estee Lauder. Charged and convicted of forgery when she created a series of fraudulent letters by deceased actors and writers, which she confessed to in her autobiography 'Can You Ever Forgive Me' (2008). Subject of the film 'Can You Ever Forgive Me?' (2018). Also known as Lee Israel.
