Mayor of Madison, Wisconsin since 2019, being the first open LGBTQ mayor of the city. Former managing director of the Mayors Innovation Project at University of Wisconsin - Madison's Center on Wisconsin Strategy, and served on the City Council from 2007 to 2013.
