Description
Professor and Rotman Chair in Management, and formerly Associate Dean of Research, Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto. Cross-appointment to the Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto. President and member of the Board of Governors, Academy of Management, an association with more than 18,000 members in 110 countries. Senior Associate, Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard University. Chief Economist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Division for Global Health and Human Rights. Author of several books and over 100 articles, case studies, notes, and other published material on competitive advantage, industry evolution, and financial performance. Irwin Distinguished Educator Award winner in 2010 from the Academy of Management, and in 2012 received their Career Distinguished Educator Award. Partner is fellow academic Sarah Kaplan.
