Description
Theatre director and choreographer. Founder of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan (1973). Created the Department of Dance at Taipei National University of the Arts (1983) and since 2000, has been serving as the Artistic Director of the Novel Dance Series for the Novel Hall dance venue in Taipei. Notable for his production of the play 'Legacy', about the history of Taiwan. Has received numerous awards and honours for his work, including being named Time Magazine's 'Asian Heroe' (2005).
