Description

Writer, poet, playwright, and feminist activist. Much of her work is experimental, and she was associated with the New York punk movement. Recipient of the Pushcart Prize for her short story 'New York City in 1979'. Author of numerous books, including her collection of poems 'Politics' (1972) and many novels including 'The Childlike Life of the Black Tarantula: Some Lives of Murderesses' (1973),'I Dreamt I Was a Nymphomaniac: Imagining' (1974), 'Blood and Guts in High School' (1984), and 'Pussy, King of the Pirates' (1996). Bisexual.
