Description
Poet and novelist. Author of the novels 'Dominoes at the Crossroads' (2020), and 'Accordéon' (2016), which was a finalist for the Amazon.ca First Novel Award, two books of poetry, Lettricity and Maple Leaf Rag, and two albums, Vox:Versus and Creole Continuum. Recipient of Canada’s Griffin Poetry Prize for his poetry collection, Magnetic Equator (2019). His memoir 'Land Without Chocolate' (1999) was the first published LGBTQ poetry collection written by a Guyanese-born poet. Since 2011 he has created mixed media compositions with saxophonist and synthesist Jason Sharp.
