Description
Transgender Democratic Party member of the Virginia State Senate since 2023, and former member of the Virginia State House of Delegates (2017-2023). The first transgender individual to hold State office in the United States. A former reporter for the Gainesville Times and Prince William Times newspapers. Sings in the metal band Cab Ride Home. Inducted into the LGBTQ+ Political Hall of Fame (2024).
