Description
Gay Syrian refugee who escaped to Lebanon and resettled in the United States. Recounts his story as an activist with ORAM - Organization for Refugee, Asylum, and Migration, working to free other LGBTQ refugees. Presented the case for gay Syrian refugees to the Security Council of the United Nations, the first time the Council heard formal representation on an LGBTQ issue (2015).
