Description

First openly gay or lesbian activist to be elected to a state legislature. Massachusetts House of Representatives for two terms, 1975-1979. Founder of an LGBT alcohol and drug treatment center in Minneapolis called the Pride Institute. Had a relationship with Rita Mae Brown. Real estate agent.
