Ballet dancer and choreographer. Co-founder of the famed modern dance company Joffrey Ballet, noted for its experimental dance compositions that focused on the male dancer with homoerotic undertones. Notable compositions include 'Astarte' (1967) and 'Persephone' (1952). Born Abdullah Jaffa Bey Khan. Died of AIDS.
