Description
Activist, who began with Mattachine Midwest providing legal help to gay men and lesbians facing discrimination. Followed this with activities with the city of Chicago's Committee on Gay and Lesbian Issues, the Chicago Gay Alliance, the Windy City Athletic Association and Chicago Lesbian Liberation. Publisher of the first annotated bibliography on lesbian literature 'Women Loving Women'. Organizer of national Lesbian Writers Conferences (1974-1978). Inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame (1991).
