Description

Professor of Anthropology, University of California at Irvine. Subjects of research include sexuality, HIV/AIDS, and linguistic anthropology. Winner of the Ruth Benedict Prize given by the Society of Lesbian and Gay Anthropologists. Editor-in-Chief of 'American Anthropologist'. Author of several books on the subject, notably 'Coming of Age in Second Life' (2008).
