Description

Filmmaker, notably for the films 'The Wild Party' (1929) and 'The Bride Wore Red' (1937). One of the first, and of few, women filmmakers of her time, who was prolific in the number of films she directed. The first woman to join the Directors Guild of America and direct a film with sound. Teacher of film, University of California, Los Angeles. Partner was choreographer Marion Morgan.
