Description

Orchestra conductor and pianist. Music director of the Orchestre Métropolitain, Metropolitan Opera, and of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and was until recently principal conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Honorary Member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Has appeared multiple times at the BBC Proms and at many European festivals, among them Edinburgh, Lucerne, Salzburg and Grafenegg.
