Description

Director of the South American Institute of Government in Health (ISAGS) since 2016. Former Minister for Public Health. Appointed President of the Executive Committee of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Ecuador 2015 - 2016, President of the 52nd Directing Council of PAHO in 2013 and held the Presidency of the XXXIV Meeting of Ministers of Health of the Andean Area (REMSAA) 2014-2015. LGBTQ activist, noted for her campaign to close religious treatment facilities intended to 'cure' LGBTQ individuals.
