Ballet dancer and choreographer. Choreographer for stage and film, winner 4 Tony and 2 Academy Awards,notably 'West Side Story' (1957). Other hits include Gypsy, The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Widely acknowledged as a theatrical genius. Inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1979. Subject of the biography 'Dance With Demons: The Life of Jerome Robbins'. Bisexual.
