Description

Suffragette and politician. New Mexico's first female government official when she served as Santa Fe Superintendent of Instruction from 1917 to 1929. Chair of the State Board of Health. Fought for national literacy. The United States Mint commemorate her by placing her figure on the quarter (2021). Also known as Adelina Otero-Warren.
