Description

Transgender former professional American football player with the Canadian Football League who retired in 2008. Formerly played with four Canadian Football League teams during her career: the Saskatchewan Roughriders, BC Lions, Ottawa Renegades and Edmonton Eskimos. Member of the Grey Cup winning teams in 2005 (Edmonton Eskimos) and 2000 (BC Lions). Named the Most Valuable Canadian Player of the Grey Cup finals in 2005. Named (as Maven) to the Edmonton 2000s All-Decade Team as a special teamer in 2024. Formerly known as Mike Maurer.
