Writer, musician, performer. Obie award winner (2001) and Tony nominee (2007). Transgender cabaret performer. Known for the role of Kiki DuRane, one half of the lounge duo Kiki and Herb in San Francisco. Appeared in John Cameron Mitchell's movie 'Shortbus' and in television show 'Ugly Betty'.
