Description

Former professor of sociology at the University of Maryland. President of the Gay Activists Alliance of Washington, D.C. (1979-1981). First openly-gay person to be nominated for the position of Vice-President of the United States (1980). Also known as Melvin Boozer. Died of AIDS.
