Description
One of the earliest transgender individuals to publish her own autobiography, 'Riddle of the Underworld' (1921), published under the pseudonym Earl Lind. The transgender Lind (who also called himself Ralph Werther and Jennie June) published two autobiographical volumes in 1919 and 1922. The third volume, advertised and much discussed but never printed, remained a mystery to scholars and historians for nearly a century.
