Pop artist, noted for his iconic sculpture and prints of the word 'LOVE' and 'AIDS', where the first two letters are stacked on top of the second two letters. In 2013, the Whitney Museum of American Art mounted a retrospective of his work entitled "Robert Indiana: Beyond LOVE".
