Commissioner, Equality and Human Rights Commission. Former Chair, National Health System - Manchester. Previously Head of Equality and Economic Inclusion for the North West Development Agency where she was responsible for the development of a Single Equality Scheme. Former Chief Executive of the Black Health Agency. She was awarded an OBE in 2006.
