Roman Catholic Pope, builder of the Sistine Chapel and second founder of the Vatican Library and established the Vatican archives. Patron of the arts. Known for his nepotism, support for the Spanish Inquisition, and several scandals within the church. Proper name was Francesco della Rovere.
