Pre-eminent illustrator of the 20th century. Noted for his covers of the magazine Saturday Evening Post, and for his trade character 'The Arrow Collar Man'. Work is highly homoerotic. Life-long relationship with Charles Beach. Also known as Joseph Christian Leyendecker.
