Former Liberal Party member of the Australian House of Representatives for the Division of Diamond Valley (1969-1972, and 1975-1983) and the Division of Menzies (1984-1991). Former Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party (1985-1987). Minister for Employment and Youth Affairs (1981-1982), Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs (1982), and Minister for Communications from (1982-1983). Former Parliamentary Delegate to the United Nations. Columnist for the newspaper The Spectator Australia. Lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator. Adjunct Professor of Law, Murdoch University, Western Australia.
