Chief Inspector with the London police force, after joining the police in 1990. Chairman of the Gay Police Association for more than ten years and worked as an LGBT liaison officer in Soho. Awarded an MBE in 2003 for his work on diversity in the force. Arrested in 2014 on charges of possession of Class A,B, and C drugs, to which he pleaded guilty.
