Born as Thomas James Gabel, transitioned to female, coming out as a transsexual woman in 2012. Best known as the founder, lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the punk rock band 'Against Me!'. Activist for the transgender community. Author of her memoir 'Tranny' (2016).
