Description

Founding Executive Director of Triangle Foundation (1991-2007), a Michigan-based LGBTQ rights organization that morphed into Equality Michigan. Created the organization as a victim advocacy group for LGBTQ individuals targetted in hate crimes. Notable for fighting the 'gay panic defense' often used as a defense argument in the murder of LGBTQ individuals. Former co-chair of the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs (NCAVP). Recipient of numerous local awards.
