Description

Professor of Astronomy, Columbia University since 2013. Former Professor, Department of Physics & Astronomy, and Chair, Department of Women's Studies, Barnard College (2010-2013). Research interest is in the study of active galactic nuclei through spectropolarimetry, a technique that permits simultaneous observation of both the spectra and the polarization of an astronomical object.
