Fiction writer, notably for his best-selling debut novel he wrote while a student at Oxford 'The Drowning People' (1999), 'The Lighted Rooms' (2008), and 'Who Killed Piet Barol?' (2017). Founder of the Kay Mason Foundation (KMF) which provides scholarship to South African students.
