Founder and first President of Christopher Street West (CSW, 1974), the nonprofit that puts on the yearly Los Angeles Pride festival and parade. Subject of the documentary 'Pat Rocco Dared' (2017). Filmmaker and LGBTQ activist. Recipient of the inaugural Troy Perry Medal of Pride, honoring LGBTQ people and allies who are on the front lines of community activism around the world (2016).
