Description
Born as Edward Araujo, was a teenage pre-operative trans woman who was murdered by four men, two of whom she had allegedly been sexually intimate with, who beat and strangled her after discovering she was transsexual. Horizons Foundation created the 'Gwen Araujo Memorial Fund for Transgender Education'. A television movie was made of her story in 2006 called 'called A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story'.
