Description
Teenager who committed suicide because of anti-gay bullying at school, related to the fact he was gay and a figure skater. His death prompted the passage of the Province of Ontario's Accepting Schools Act (2012) which legislated tougher anti-bullying programs in schools, and led to the creation of Gay-Straight Alliances in schools across the province. In addition, the Federal Government implemented an anti-bullying strategy across the country.
