Description
Acting First Lady of the United States for the fourteen months, being sister to President Grover Cleveland who was a bachelor until he married in 1886. Principal of the Collegiate Institute of Lafayette, Indiana, a writer and lecturer, and the editor of the Chicago-based magazine Literary Life. Had a long term lesbian relationship with Evangeline Marrs Simpson, living together in Italy and as revealed in the erotic correspondence between the two.
