Physician who specialized in the area of sexuality, co-authoring the first medical textbook on homosexuality 'Sexual Inversion' (1897). Also studied the Transgender phenomenon. President of the Galton Institute. Was married to lesbian Edith Lees. Prolific author on the subject.
