Description
Labor Party Member of Parliament since 2020. Appointed as Minister for Seniors, Minister for Food Safety, Associate Minister of Health and Associate Minister of Research, Science and Innovation in 2020. Infectious diseases physician, and researcher with expertise in tuberculosis and international health. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Otago, Wellington, and since 2019 has been a member of the Capital and Coast District Health Board. Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
