Description

Folk singer, being a mix of blues, folk and jazz, with a taste of funk and reggae. The founder and director of several different choirs in Toronto: Singing Elementary Teachers of Toronto, CUPE Freedom Singers, the Women of Central East Correctional Centre, and Sistering Singers. Activist for the injustice of the legal system. Has been documenting the social, political and cultural history of Africville, a historic African Canadian settlement in Maritime Canada.
