Description

Executive Director, Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum - Uganda (HRAPF), an organization which fights for human rights of marginalized people in Uganda. Noted human rights lawyer. His research interests are in the areas of: LGBTI rights, the right to health, and children’s rights. Recipient of a U.S. Human Rights award from Secretary of State Clinton (2012) for coordinating the Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights and Constitutional Law, which led civil society opposition to Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill (2009). He received the Vera Chirwa Award 2016 from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, and he was the first runner-up for the European Union’s Human Rights Defenders Award 2017. Lawyer.
