Description

Olympic gold medal winner, 2008 Olympics, 10 metre Diving after performing the highest scoring dive in Olympic history. First openly-gay Olympic athlete to win a gold medal. Australian Sports Performer of the Year (2008). Was ranked No. 1 in the world in 2010 and won Commonwealth Games gold in 2014 before retiring in 2016. Inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame (2020). Author of his autobiography 'Twists and Turns' (2012).
