Description
Founder of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service), and builder of the system that connected PBS network by satellite. Created WGBH Radio in Boston in 1951, followed by WGBH TV in 1955. Went on to serve as vice-president of program development for COMSAT, based in Washington, DC.
